Fresh mulch bales arriving at the farmstead will be part of our arsenal to combat the heat these next couple weeks! The mulch will cover the dark soil, especially in exposed areas, helping to keep the ground cool, while retaining moisture and restraining weeds - which when combined with our irrigation system will make handling these droughty dog days of summer a breeze.

Albeit we'll pull the vetch in the coming days to prevent it from being overgrown amoungst the wheat stand
